Continuing our Scottish growth with the addition of Dickson Middleton

We have strengthened our presence in Scotland with the addition of Dickson Middleton, a well-established firm with offices in Stirling and Bonnybridge.

This marks the latest step in a sustained period of growth across the region. Over the past 12 months, we have completed a series of acquisitions, building a strong footprint across Glasgow, Dundee, Perth and Falkirk.

Since entering the Scottish market, we have grown quickly while staying focused on what matters. Supporting local businesses through local teams, backed by the wider expertise of the bk plus group.

The addition of Dickson Middleton reflects that approach. The team will continue to support clients as they do today, now with access to broader advisory services across tax, audit and corporate finance.

Robert Taylor, Partner at Dickson Middleton, said: “We’ve built our reputation on long-standing relationships with clients across Stirling and the surrounding area. It was important for us to find a partner who understands that.

bk plus gives us the ability to offer more to our clients while keeping the same team and the same way of working. That was key for us. This is about building on what we already do well, not changing it.”

We now have one of the broadest regional footprints of any mid-tier firm entering Scotland in recent years, with over 140 people supporting SMEs across multiple locations.

Shaun Knight, CEO of bk plus, said: “We’ve had a strong start in Scotland.

Each firm that has joined us has strengthened what we can offer, but more importantly, we’ve kept what matters to clients. Local relationships. Consistency. People who understand their business.

Dickson Middleton is a great example of that. A strong local team with a great reputation in the market.

Our approach is simple. The team stays. The relationships stay. Clients continue to work with the same people, now with more support behind them.

We are building a strong network across Scotland, and we are doing it the right way.”

Our growth reflects a wider shift in the accountancy market, as more practices look for a model that allows them to stay close to their clients while expanding what they can offer.

Since launching in 2021, we have grown from a start-up into a national firm with more than 900 people and offices across the UK, focused on supporting owner-managed businesses and SMEs.

The addition of Dickson Middleton further strengthens our position in Scotland, with a continued focus on helping local businesses stay on top of what matters.
