About Simon
As Senior Manager my job role entails advising clients, mostly corporate clients, who are or may find themselves in financial difficulty. If a formal insolvency route is required, I mostly deal with Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidations and Administrations, but I also have experience in Compulsory Liquidations, Bankruptcies and Members’ Voluntary Liquidations.
I have worked in Insolvency for 15 years and have a broad experience doing all aspects of insolvency work gaining experience of working with many different industries, I also have experience with receiverships and trading businesses. The values that I offer is listening to the client’s issues and setting out the options available, whilst thinking ahead to what problems may occur before they happen. I think most clients find me personable and easy to get along with. I began my career at the Official Receiver’s Office at The Insolvency Service in 2009 after leaving university. After a number of different roles at The Insolvency Service I moved to K J Watkin & Co. in 2011 as an Assistant Administrator.
In the 12 years at K J Watkin & Co., I have seen my role increase up to Senior Manager. My achievement are passing my Degree in Maths and Management at Newcastle University in 2009, I passed CPI in 2014 and passed Corporate JIEB in 2019 and Personal JIEB in 2023.
